Quillmark Notes is made by a small studio that spends most of its time in the places the app is used: coastal surveys, woodland transects, anywhere a phone has one bar and a notebook has none.

That is why the app has no account and no server. Every design decision in it follows from one constraint — the work happens where there is no signal, and a tool that needs a connection to record something is not a field tool.

Three things this page deliberately does not say: how many people work here, what year the studio started, and who funds it. Fill them in if they are true and you want them public. A template that ships a placeholder year is a template that publishes one.
