Installing
Which devices does it run on?
The current build needs iOS 16 or Android 10. The supported versions on the support page are read from the newest release, so that line changes when a release changes it rather than when somebody remembers to edit it.
My phone is older than that. Can I still use it?
If you installed it before the requirement moved, your store purchase history will usually offer you the last build that ran on your device. That older build keeps working offline; it just stops getting releases.
Account
Why is there no account?
Because the notebook does not need one. Records live on the device and move by export, so there is nothing to synchronise and nobody to authenticate. It also means there is no password to lose and no server holding your surveys.
How do I move my notebooks to a new phone?
Export the notebook, move the file across however you normally move files, and open it on the new device. Photographs travel in the folder beside it.
Privacy
Does the app send my location anywhere?
No. It reads your location when you stamp a record and writes the coordinates into that record on the device. The App Privacy page lists Location as declared but not collected, which is exactly what that means.
What is in a crash report?
The state of the app at the moment it stopped: which screen, which version, what the device was. Not the contents of your records. It is sent only if you agree at the prompt after a crash.
Billing
Is it a subscription?
It is bought once. There is no subscription, no consumable, and nothing that stops working if you do not open the app for a year.
Troubleshooting
My export has the text but no photographs.
Exports before version 2.6.0 wrote the CSV alone. Update, then export again: the photographs come out in a folder beside the file, named by record.
