This page is a starting structure, not legal advice, and it is not complete. It covers the WEBSITE. What the app itself collects is a different question with a different answer, and it has its own page at /app-privacy/ — keeping the two apart is deliberate, because a single document covering both is how a site ends up describing the app’s data handling in terms that only make sense for a web server. This is template text: consult a lawyer and adapt every paragraph below to what you actually do before publishing.

What this site collects

This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, embeds no analytics package and loads nothing from a third-party domain — the fonts are served from this site rather than from a font network, which is why there is no cookie banner to dismiss.

Your host will keep server logs. Those normally hold the request, the time, the page and an IP address, and they are kept for as long as your host keeps them. Name your host and their retention period here — “our host keeps logs” without saying who or for how long is not a disclosure.

The contact form

If you send the form on the contact page, we receive what you typed into it: your name, your email address, the topic and the message. It is used to reply to you and for nothing else.

Say here where that form posts. Out of the box this template posts to the site’s own origin, which means your hosting platform handles it. If you point it at a form service, that service is a processor and it belongs in this paragraph by name, with a link to its own terms.

Support email

An email to the support address is held in the mailbox it arrives in. We keep support correspondence for [period] and then delete it. Fill that in: a retention period you have not decided is a retention period of forever.

What we do not do

No advertising, no profiling, no sale of anything to anyone. There is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing running.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address above. If you are in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority, and naming yours here is more useful than mentioning that they exist.

Changes

The date at the top of this page is the last time it changed. If a change affects what we do with information you have already sent us, we will say so rather than moving the date quietly.
